How does laser hair removal work?

The laser targets melanin in the hair follicle. The light converts to heat, which damages the follicle and slows future growth. Hair in the active growth phase (anagen) responds best, which is why multiple sessions are needed.

What laser technology do you use?

New Day Medspa uses Candela® laser technology, suitable for all skin types, with built-in cooling to keep the skin comfortable during treatment. You can check the Laser Hair Removal Service Here.

Is laser hair removal painful?

Most clients feel a mild warmth or a light snapping sensation. The Candela® system's cooling feature keeps the experience comfortable for most people.

How many sessions will I need?

Most clients need 8 to 10 sessions, spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart. This varies based on the treatment area, hair density, and hair color.

What body areas can be treated?

Laser hair removal is available for the face, underarms, arms, legs, back, chest, abdomen, bikini line, and Brazilian area. Smaller and larger areas are both available.

Does laser hair removal work on all skin tones?

Yes. The Candela® technology used at New Day Medspa is suitable for all skin types. Your provider will review your skin tone and hair color during the consultation and adjust settings accordingly.

How long does each session take?

Anywhere from 5 to 60 minutes for a small area (upper lip, underarms) to about an hour for larger areas (full legs, back).

Do you offer a finance facility for Laser Hair Removal?

Yes, Financing is available through Cherry, PatientFi, Klarna, and Afterpay.

What should I do before my laser hair removal appointment?

Shave the treatment area 24 hours before. Avoid waxing, plucking, or threading for at least 4 weeks prior. Skip tanning (sun or self-tanner) for 2 weeks before your appointment.

What are wrinkle relaxers?

Wrinkle relaxers are injectable neuromodulators (such as Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin) that temporarily relax the underlying muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles. They're most commonly used on the forehead, between the brows (the "11s"), and around the eyes. You can check our Wrinkle Relaxer Service Here.

How long do wrinkle relaxers last?

Results typically last 3 to 4 months. Consistent treatment over time can lengthen the interval between sessions for some clients.

Will I look frozen or unnatural?

Not if the treatment is done well. The goal is a refreshed, rested look - not a frozen one. Your provider calibrates the dosage to your facial movements and goals, not to a one-size-fits-all formula.

How much does it cost?

Pricing starts at $9.98 per unit in Jacksonville, FL. The total number of units depends on the area and your provider's assessment during consultation.

Is there downtime after wrinkle relaxer treatment?

Minimal. Most clients return to normal activity the same day. You may notice some small injection marks that fade within a few hours. Avoid strenuous exercise and lying flat for 4 hours post-treatment.

When will I see results?

Most clients notice the effects within 3 to 5 days, with full results visible around the 2-week mark.

Who is a good candidate for wrinkle relaxers?

Generally, healthy adults who want to soften dynamic wrinkles (the ones caused by muscle movement) are good candidates. Pregnant clients and those with certain neuromuscular conditions are not. Your provider will review your health history during the consultation.

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are injectable gels, most commonly made from hyaluronic acid, used to restore volume, smooth lines, and define facial features such as the lips, cheeks, and jawline. The body naturally produces hyaluronic acid; production decreases with age. You can explore our Dermal filler Service Here.

What areas can fillers treat?

Lips, cheeks, jawline, chin, and under-eye hollows are the most common treatment areas. Your provider will assess your facial structure during consultation and recommend what actually fits your anatomy.

How long do fillers last?

Most hyaluronic acid fillers last 6 to 12 months, depending on the area treated, the specific product used, and how your body metabolizes it.

How much does filler cost?

Filler starts at $399 per syringe at New Day Medspa in Jacksonville, FL. The number of syringes needed depends on your goals and the areas being treated - your provider will walk through this during the consultation.

Is there bruising or swelling after filler?

Some swelling and bruising are common, especially around the lips. It typically resolves within a few days to a week. Avoiding alcohol, NSAIDs (like ibuprofen), and blood thinners before your appointment helps reduce the likelihood.

Can filler be reversed?

Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed. This is one reason most providers start with HA-based fillers.

What is CoolSculpting®?

CoolSculpting® is an FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat reduction treatment. It uses controlled cooling (cryolipolysis) to freeze and permanently destroy fat cells in a targeted area. The body then processes and eliminates those cells over several weeks. You can explore Body Contouring Service Here.

Is body contouring a weight loss treatment?

No. body contouring reduces fat in specific areas but is not a substitute for weight loss. It works best for clients at or near their goal weight who have localized fat that hasn't responded to diet and exercise.

What areas does body contouring treat?

The abdomen, flanks (love handles), inner and outer thighs, bra fat, back fat, double chin (submental area), upper arms, and banana roll (beneath the buttocks).

How long does a body contouring session take?

Each applicator cycle runs 35 to 60 minutes, depending on the area. Most treatment plans involve multiple cycles and sessions.

When will I see results?

Initial changes typically appear around 3 to 4 weeks. Full results develop over 12 weeks (about 3 months) as the body continues eliminating the destroyed fat cells.

Are the fat reduction results permanent?

The fat cells that are destroyed do not come back. However, remaining fat cells can still expand with weight gain. Maintaining results requires a stable weight after treatment.

Is there any downtime after body contouring?

No significant downtime. Common aftereffects - mild swelling, redness, bruising, or temporary numbness in the treated area - typically resolve within a week. Most clients return to normal activities immediately.

How much does body contouring cost?

Plans start at $49 per month in Jacksonville. Cherry, PatientFi, Klarna, and Afterpay financing are available with no credit check required.

Do you accept insurance?

No. Aesthetic treatments are elective and not covered by insurance. All services are paid for out of pocket.
